Hypnotherapy is one of those things that can sound a bit mysterious until you understand what it really is.

For children, it can be a brilliant tool because it works with the way they already make sense of the world: through imagination, stories, pictures, feelings and possibility.

Children do not always have the words to explain what is going on inside. Sometimes anxiety shows up as anger. Worry shows up as tummy aches. Fear shows up as needing lots of reassurance. Big feelings can come out sideways.

Hypnotherapy gives children a gentle way to explore their inner world, feel calmer in their body, and begin to build confidence from the inside out.

That is why I wrote The Power Inside: A Parent’s Guide to Hypnotherapy.

I wanted to take away some of the misunderstanding around hypnotherapy and show parents what it can offer: not as something strange or scary, but as a safe, compassionate and creative way to support children emotionally.

The book is there to help parents understand how the subconscious mind works, why children behave the way they do when they are struggling, and how we can meet them with more curiosity, connection and calm.

Because sometimes the answer is not to push harder or talk more.

Sometimes it is about helping a child feel safe enough to access the power they already have inside.
