FREE VIRTUAL MINDFULNESS CLASSES for 10-16 year olds
4 weekly sessions, starting Wednesday 25th March, 10.00-10.45 am
Humans have evolved to be excellent worriers.
Sometimes worrying can have a really important function. For example, if we experience danger or a real threat, we need to spend time understanding why and how it happened and working through how it might be possible to avoid a similar thing happening again.
The problem is that we spend much of our day thinking, worrying what has happened or what might happen in the future. At the same time, our body experiences all the real stress that comes with replaying or imagining the worst. As a result, we become exhausted.
By practising Mindfulness we can train our attention to be more aware of what is actually happening, rather than worrying about what has happened or might happen.
Learning Mindfulness will be life long skill and as things stand today, it's the perfect timing for young people to learn this skill.
